Randy Albright
The Songwriter / The Singer
Randy Albright...the songwriter / the singerwas born in Michigan in August of 1957. He was adopted into a Polish-American family when only 32 weeks old.At the age of 8 he received his first guitar and learned to play chords and sing, and at 9, he had written his first song, all under the instruction of his adopted mother. With his newfound nationality Randy formed his own Polish orchestra while still in his teens. His public music career began in front of audiences of disabled veterans and nursing home residents, with a vast repertoire of everything including Spirituals, Polkas, Rock-n-Roll, and Country. His major musical influence came from his favorite LP of Hank William's Sr. "14 Greatest Hits." He learned to sing along with Hank and his voice took a natural sound like that of his phonograph mentor. After high school and two years of working at a local grocery store saving his money, Randy knew he wanted to write songs for a living. He packed his things and moved to Nashville at the age of twenty.Once there, he auditioned for Opryland, and a year later Randy joined the cast of the Country Music U.S.A. Show where he imitated the legendary voice of none other than...Hank William's Sr.While developing his singing and stage skills and appearing on a number of TV shows, and well as over one hundred convention shows through the year 1999, Randy continued writing and pitching his songs on music row. He signed his first publishing contract with Acuff/Rose in October of 1980, and has been continuously signed as a staff writer for various companies Warner Bros. Music, Almo/Irving Music, 3 Sons Music, Warner/Chappell, Affiliated Publishers Inc and EMI Music. These writing deals have led to over 500 songs written and over 100 songs being recorded, over half of these by Nashvilles major market recording artists. Randy still keeps a very active writing and singing schedule with some of Nashvilles most innovative writers and artists. He has been a long time resident of White House Tennessee where he resides with his three sons. His main interests along with music are; Family, Religion, Martial Arts (since 1975 and currently a 4th degree black belt), and Creative Photography.
