FREE SPARRING SUGGESTIONS

Learn as much as possible about the art of fighting as well as the art of war.

Study your opponent and their ability, if at all possible, before you engage in sparring with them.

Study your opponent and the way they move, block, strike and kick when you first begin sparring. So you can set your strategies.

Do not show your best moves first, set up your opponent with carefully planned basic moves, or deceptive moves, then disable them by applying your best in a disarming and effective way.

Develop your arsenal of moves and strategies so you can adapt with split second precision, to the ever changing pace of the sparring match.

Strive to use utmost safety while sparring in class or with someone you know. In the event of defending your life, safety for your partner is not is not an option. Protect yourself at all times.

Demonstrate proper technique while sparring, especially under challenging circumstances.

Maximise your mobility with proper stepping and parrying.

Stay Relaxed while sparring so as to conserve your energy to spar longer and more effective, and also to look more in control of yourself than that of your opponent.  Showing tenseness lets your partner know that you are not at ease with the present endeavor and it may give them a mental advantage.

Before sparring, be courteous to your opponent but never be over friendly. During the sparring match, you must give your opponent A Look That They Will Never Forget. A look that will chip away at their mental preparedness, so as to wear them down from the inside as well as physically from the outside.

Always Ki-Hap VERY Loudly (striking fear into your opponent) when beginning your sparring match and also, periodically during the match when scoring. The louder and stronger your Ki-Hap, the bigger and stronger you appear to your opponent.

You owe it to yourself and your loved ones to protect yourself with every ounce of strength and ability that you can produce while engaged against an opponent. So train as often and as hard as your bodily system will let you. Ancient warriors advised, training yourself past the point of defeat.

Plan and accept that the only outcome of a confrontation will be YOU as the VICTOR.

Good luck to each of you in your sparring endeavors and Godspeed.
